Porridge with cinnamon, honey and berries

Perfect porridge with cinnamon, honey and berries is the way to start the day. Oh, and it can be utterly delicious when done right.

Ingredients

Serves 1
  • 60g gluten free rolled oats
  • 140ml milk, soya milk or water
  • 100g berries, washed
  • 2 tbsp of honey
  • ½ tsp of ground cinnamon

Garnish

  • Few fresh mint leaves

Preparation Method

15 minutes
  1. Place the saucepan with milk and oats over medium-high heat and bring to the boil, then turn off the heat.
  2. Add ground cinnamon and half of honey. Stir consistently using a spatula until you have a thick, creamy mixture. It could take 7-10 minutes.
  3. Pour the porridge into the bowl then top it with fresh berries and drizzle with the rest of honey. Garnish porridge with fresh mint leaves.
